ANTI RACISM / INCLUSION

STATEMENT + RESOURCE

Tiffany at Sacred Story makes a continued effort to be respectful of the roots of yoga teachings that influence and guide Sacred Story sessions. Abstaining from appropriating practice on any level is one of the core values here. Tiffany therefore invites any feedback where this may be improved.

Sacred Story believes that recognising the impacts of colonialism/white supremacy/racism within our culture is a fundamental step for the change needed, for equity to be woven into our systems and for our communities + extended communities healing from its continuing affects.

Sacred Story is inclusive to all people. This means those who do not identify as cis gendered and heterosexual and identify within the LGBT+ communities are absolutely welcome. This is a safe space for all to come and practice the incredible healing arts of yoga.

Sacred Story encourages all people to observe their own discriminatory attitudes and unconscious biases. Bringing awareness to our ignorances + mental/emotional patterns is a crucial part of yoga practice and is arguably the baseline for cultivating freedom. Please see the resources below.

Sacred Story wishes to make it absolutely clear that all people are welcome here.
