Acknowledgement of Yogas Roots

The origins of yoga are rooted in ancient India. Yoga is a spiritual, philosophical, and embodied practice and one that offers tremendous stability and freedom from suffering. Decolonisation of attitudes and ideas of yoga and what yoga practice is in the UK is essential when honouring its rich teachings and respecting those where yoga is a cultural heritage. I hope what comes through my work is a continual effort to be respectful of yogas roots, to better integrate the clear teachings of yoga into my everyday life and in turn better support those who attend my offerings.
